Thistle Systems has demonstrated the power of its Max the Cube approach to deliver the workshop design and storage requirements for a specialist supplier of industrial air compressors and pneumatic tools.
Thistle designed several key areas to optimise the workspace and the storage of components and materials including a dedicated warehouse control facility with a lay down area and Maxi Cube long span shelving. This allows delivered goods and items being despatched to be handled quickly and effectively within a specific footprint.
The main storage area was located on the mezzanine floor and incorporated over 70.4 linear metres of long span shelving for larger components and heavy duty shelving for the smaller boxes. Pallets can be loaded onto the Mezzanine via the pallet gate which can then be broken down and loaded into the relevant area.
Thistle used mesh partitioning to create a secure, lockable storage area below the mezzanine, featuring Thistle’s heavy duty Maxi Cube Shelving and 2No high density drawer cabinets to secure the high value products.
Within the general work area, Thistle designed and installed its Maxi Cube pallet racking to allow the client to store large pallets of components or finished product such as well heads and pneumatic compressors. Mobile workstations were also designed and installed featuring workbenches and high density drawer cabinets, which were fitted with specialist drawer partitions, allowing collaborative and flexible workspaces which dramatically reduced travel times.
