Thistle designed a solution which used High Density Drawer Cabinets which would accommodate up to 15,000 SKUs within the dramatically reduced floor area.

The introduction of 6 custom designed drawer cabinets within the stores area would allow the team to pick virtually every component without having to move from their work station. Each of the drawer units featured a work surface on top to allow the items picked to be placed into the bins ready for collection by the operators.

The client’s project team were able to identify the core components used on a regular basis with bulkier items stored in a separate area. Thistle also created a separate secure storage facility using mesh panels with a service counter to allow high value items to be stored in a safe environment with greater controls on stock and product protection
