Industrial Shelving for Scottish Textiles and Gifts Company

Thistle Systems has enabled one of Scotland’s leading textiles and gifts companies to transform its storage facility with 110 bays of heavy-duty industrial shelving at their facility in Lanarkshire.

The company had experienced significant growth and was looking to create a new dedicated storage and picking area to facilitate its network of luxury retailers across Scotland, the UK and the rest of the world.

The solution was designed with flexibility in mind with 5no shelves per bay measuring 600mm deep and spaced at equal heights to enable pickers to access all products, quickly and easily.

With a broad range of products being stored from luxury bags to clothes and small gift items, each bay featured mesh back and end panels to offer a degree of protection and to prevent slippage between the shelves.

The finished project provided the company with a total of 550 linear metres of storage.
