Thistle Systems has used its Max the Cube mobile shelving approach to enable its client to increase its storage capacity in less than half of the previous floor space and in doing so created an additional revenue of over £15,000 per annum by allowing them to let out the available office space.

Mobile Shelving Solution

Thistle’s interior team worked with the client after completing a major office fit out in another area of the building where they increased the number of desks, as well as improving productivity. After discussing the project, Thistle presented a solution which condensed the existing archive storage on static shelving, which had been taking up a combined area of 303 square metres over two floors, and used multiple mobile shelving systems to increase capacity by 122 linear metres (1752 archive boxes) in just 128 square metres of floor space – an incredible 60% saving. By freeing up the archive storage space on the first floor, the client is now looking to reconfigure its office layout and let out an entire floor to generate additional revenue as opposed to incurring a cost which is conservatively estimated at £15,000 per annum.”
