Thistle Systems has used its Max the Cube philosophy to design, supply and install mezzanine floor offices for the quay side headquarters of a fast growing Dundee media company.

Thistle worked closely with the client’s project team to advise upon key issues including providing sufficient space to grow into whilst taking into consideration that it was a listed building.

With this in mind, Thistle delivered a solution which maximised the available space, installing office mezzanine floors to capitalise on the height of the building and using glazed partitioning underneath to form offices and private meeting areas.

Informal meeting areas were also created within the mezzanine floor to enable designers and developers to collaborate and accelerate projects.

Thistle Systems’ Managing Director, Mike Cairns, explained, “The mezzanine provides the comfort with valuable additional floor space, and the addition of the glass partitioning system creates private areas without encroaching on the available light.”
