Racking with Heavy Duty Roll Out Shelves

After enabling the Aberdeen engineering company to double its capacity in a previous project, Thistle achieved this again in 83% less floor space through its heavy duty roll out shelves plus cantilever racking and shelving.

The growth in sales and the launch of a new product line required additional storage capacity and Thistle developed a solution which relocated and extended their existing systems.

Thistle installed an additional two bays of its Maxi Cube Pallet Racking to provide an extra 12 heavy duty roll out shelves, each capable of accommodating 400kg with additional shelving above.

The heavy-duty shelving area was relocated and doubled in sized with mesh partitioning to create a semi-enclosed small parts storage with dividers to create an organised system with easy picking.

Thistle also added an additional 50% in cantilever racking to accommodate the 3 metre pipes used in the new product range.
