With IBCs being employed for a variety of uses in the food and drink industry from transportation of liquid to the storage of chemicals, there is growing pressure to store them safely and efficiently.
Like many warehouses, the client was reluctant to store the IBCs any more than two high due to the health and safety concerns it would pose.
However, with available height in the building, the company asked Thistle Systems to look at a high density IBC storage solution which could increase capacity and reduce the required floor space.
The specialist IBC push back racking enables the IBCs to be stored 4 high and 6 IBCs wide to provide 24 picking faces.
And with the ability to store 5 deep, the company is now able to store 120 IBCs in just 55 square metres with complete peace of mind.
