When Thistle Systems installs an AutoCube® automated pallet storage system, MAxIQ® comes with it. It is the software that runs the installation: managing task allocation, tracking every pallet in real time, connecting your AutoCube® to your business systems, and giving your team the visibility and reporting tools to manage the operation day to day.
MAxIQ® was not bought in or adapted from a generic platform. It was designed and built in-house by Thistle Systems’ own software engineers, working alongside the automation engineers who design and install the hardware. That means the software understands the hardware at a level no third-party system can match, and when you need support, the same UK-based team looks after both.

Task Allocation and Load Balancing MAxIQ® sequences and prioritises every movement within your AutoCube® or AutoCube®-X system. Conveyors, shuttles, and lifts receive instructions in real time, based on current inventory positions, pending orders, and your defined business rules, not static schedules. Dynamic load balancing keeps equipment working at optimal levels across the system, increasing throughput and eliminating the operational bottlenecks that reduce performance in less intelligent control environments.
Inventory Tracking Every pallet, container, or unit is tracked continuously: its location within the system, its contents, and its status. MAxIQ® gives operators complete visibility and control of stock within the high-density automated environment, without relying on manual scanning or periodic counts.
Operational Resilience MAxIQ®’s advanced control logic enables your AutoCube® system to continue operating efficiently during maintenance windows or equipment downtime.
